Early years – Stevie B was given the birth name Steven Bernard Hill and began his life and career on April 19, 1958 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Before he became famous for his song “Party Your Body,” which was a national club hit in 1987, he held a number of different occupations, ranging from washing cars to working in fast food restaurants.
It was also the title tune of his debut album, which was released in 1988 and finally earned gold certification. I Wanna Be the One, ” In My Eyes,” and “Love Me For Life” were the first three songs of his that reached number 40 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the year 1989. He reached the pinnacle of his career with the release of the album Love & Emotion in 1990.
The accompanying song, “Because I Love You,” spent a total of four weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100 chart in December 1990. I’ll Be by Your Side” and “Love and Emotion” both reached number 15 on the Billboard Hot 100 and were both taken from his album of the same name.
- In 1995, Universal Records in the Philippines issued an album that might be considered a greatest hits collection and was simply named “Dream About You.” It included hits that were released from his earlier albums, such as “Waiting for Your Love,” “Running Back,” and “Funky Melody,” among others.
